Gogogu Lot #3 - Uraga Guji, Ethiopia
Stone fruit deliciousness!
Gogogu is a washing station in the village of Dida Haro Hada Raro within Uraga, at an elevation of 2,340 MASL. This washed lot, harvested in January 2024 is exceptionally clean with a crisp acidity. We find notes of honey and citrus along with floral spices and apricot.
The village of Dida Haro Hafa Raro is a remote village in Uraga, sitting at some of the highest growing elevations. Cherries are collected at peak ripeness. Once sorted they are depulped and the seeds are submerged in water and fermented for 48-60 hours. Following this stage the seeds are rinsed thoroughly and moved to drying tables where they are dried on raised beds for 7-8 days
