Mutitu AA, sourced from the Mutitu Factory. This coffee comes from one of the oldest washing stations in Kenya, built in 1957, and serviced by over 750 local farmers. These farmers are part of the larger Rugi Farmers’ Cooperative Society, which plays a crucial role in maintaining quality and supporting the community.

Mutitu AA is grown at altitudes between 1500 and 2000 meters above sea level, ensuring the development of the coffee's distinctive flavor profile. It features the aromatic notes of dried pear, grapefruit, and a subtle sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar.

The varieties grown here are mainly SL28 and SL34, known for their excellent cup quality and suitability to the local climate.

After harvesting, the coffee cherries are pulped and then fermented for 12-24 hours. They undergo several washing steps to remove the mucilage before being dried on raised beds for about 10 days.
